Adventureland is the first game in the Scott Adams adventure game series
Originally released on cassette for the TRS-80 (Model 1), Adventureland was eventually ported to many platforms. It is an adventure game in the vein of the original Colossal Cave, a big treasure hunt, and is apparently the first adventure game made for a microcomputer.
Supposedly, Scott Adams originally packaged his home-produced version of the game by copying the cassette, putting it in a baby bottle liner and stapling it closed with a business card. The game was later picked up and published by Creative Computing magazine. This may have been the first commercial publication of the game, but that’s not certain.
